Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy applies to all purchases of Skimatly products, subscriptions, and digital services. By completing a purchase through our website, you agree to the terms outlined below. Skimatly offers digital software and services, and we aim to ensure transparency and fairness in how refunds and cancellations are handled.

Note: For definitions of terms used in this policy (such as "consumption-based levies," "billing cycle," "chargeback," etc.), please refer to our Definitions page.

2. 14-Day Cancellation Right

You may cancel your purchase for any reason within 14 calendar days from the date the transaction is completed. If you request a refund within this period and you have not accessed, used, or begun downloading or interacting with the digital product, we will issue a full refund. The cancellation period expires 14 days from the date of purchase.

This applies to:

  • One-time purchases: 14 days from date of transaction
  • Subscription services: 14 days from initial purchase date (not renewal dates)

To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us through a clear written request sent to our support email with your order details. Once your request is confirmed, we will process a full refund using the same payment method used for the original transaction. No fees or penalties apply when the cancellation is made within the allowed period.

  • Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days to your original payment method

3. Exceptions for Digital Content Access

The 14-day cancellation right does not apply once you have begun to access, use, or download the digital product. By accessing Skimatly after purchase, you acknowledge that you waive your right to the 14-day withdrawal. This exception is standard for digital goods and reflects the fact that delivery begins immediately once access is granted.

4. Subscription Renewals

The right to cancel and request a refund applies only to the initial purchase of a subscription. Refunds are not issued for automatic renewal payments. If you cancel your subscription after the initial period, it will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle. No prorated refunds or credits are provided for unused subscription time.

5. Discretionary Refunds After 14 Days

Requests made after the 14-day window are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Refunds may be granted at our sole discretion in situations such as:

  • Duplicate payments
  • Billing errors or mistakes
  • Cases where you were unable to access the service due to a technical issue attributable to Skimatly
  • Unauthorized purchases
  • Double charging
  • Any other billing discrepancies

Refunds outside the cancellation period are not guaranteed and may be declined if we determine that the product was delivered as described or if usage occurred.

IMPORTANT: Please contact us IMMEDIATELY at hello@skimatly.xyz BEFORE contacting your bank or credit card company. We will investigate and resolve the issue promptly. Contacting us first helps avoid unnecessary chargebacks and ensures faster resolution.

5.1 Service Failures

If Skimatly experiences significant service interruptions or failures that prevent you from using the service, we may issue account credits or refunds at our discretion. Contact us at hello@skimatly.xyz to report service issues.

6. Subscription Cancellations

6.1 How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. There are no cancellation fees.

6.2 Effect of Cancellation

Within 14 days of purchase: You will receive a full refund if you have not accessed the digital product (see Section 2).

After 14 days:

  • Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You will retain full access to Skimatly until the end of your paid period
  • No refunds are provided for the remaining time in your current billing cycle
  • Your subscription will not automatically renew after cancellation

6.3 Automatic Renewal

All subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You will receive a reminder email 7 days before renewal.

6.4 Consequences of Cancelling Your Purchase

If you lawfully cancel your purchase as described in this policy, all amounts paid will be returned to you. Refunds are issued without unnecessary delay and no later than 14 days from the date you notify us of your intention to cancel. Reimbursement will be completed using the same payment method you used when placing the order, and no additional charges will be imposed as part of the refund process.

7. Third-Party Platform Subscriptions

If you subscribed to Skimatly through a third-party platform (such as Apple App Store or Google Play Store), you must request refunds directly through that platform:

  • Apple App Store: Request refunds through Apple Support
  • Google Play Store: Request refunds through Google Play Support

Skimatly cannot process refunds for subscriptions purchased through third-party platforms. Please refer to the respective platform's refund policies.

8. Non-Refundable Items

Refunds will not be granted in the following cases:

  • The request is submitted after the 14-day cancellation period without a qualifying exceptional circumstance
  • You have accessed, used, or begun interacting with the digital product, thereby waiving the cancellation right
  • Subscription renewals where the service period has already begun
  • Evidence of abuse, fraud, or repeated misuse of refund requests
  • Partial billing periods: No refunds for unused time within a billing cycle
  • Setup fees: One-time setup or onboarding fees
  • Custom development: Any custom features or integrations developed specifically for you
  • Third-party services: Costs for third-party integrations or APIs
  • Account violations: Subscriptions terminated due to Terms of Service violations
  • Excessive usage: Usage that significantly exceeds fair use limits

9. Refund Processing

9.1 How to Request a Refund

For web-based subscriptions purchased directly through Skimatly, contact us at hello@skimatly.xyz with your refund request.

Include the following information:

  • Your account email address
  • Reason for refund request
  • Date of subscription purchase
  • Supporting documentation (if applicable, e.g., for unauthorized purchases)

9.2 Review Process

  • Refund requests are reviewed within 1-2 business days
  • We will verify eligibility based on this policy
  • You will receive email notification of approval or denial

9.3 Refund Timeframe

  • Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • It may take 3-10 additional business days for your bank to post the refund

Once a refund is approved, it will be processed back to the original payment method. Refund timelines vary based on the payment provider but typically range from 3 to 10 business days. You will be notified once the refund has been issued.

10. Payments Made by Bank Transfer

If you choose to pay for a Skimatly subscription or product using a direct bank transfer, you are responsible for ensuring that all payment details are accurate. This includes providing the correct transfer reference, any required tax identification numbers, and complete order information. Failure to include the correct details may cause delays, prevent us from confirming your purchase, or limit our ability to review refund eligibility.

Bank transfers do not offer the same consumer protections as card payments, and in most cases they are not refundable. In situations where a bank transfer involves a substantial amount (including any applicable indirect taxes) and you can demonstrate that the transaction details were provided accurately, we may consider a refund at our discretion. Refund approval for bank transfers is not guaranteed and may depend on the specifics of the situation.

11. Recovery of Consumption Tax Amounts

Where your transaction has been charged with consumption-based levies including but not limited to Value Added Tax (VAT), Goods and Services Tax (GST), or analogous sales taxes, and you maintain active registration for such tax purposes within your jurisdiction, you may petition for recovery of the applicable tax portion (subject to authorization under the governing fiscal regulations of your locality).

Any claim for tax recovery must be substantiated by presentation of a valid tax identification number issued by the relevant tax authority, together with such supplementary evidence as may be mandated by applicable law or administrative practice in your territory.

Claims seeking reimbursement of tax amounts must be submitted to us within sixty (60) calendar days following the date on which the original transaction was executed. Claims filed beyond this timeframe shall be deemed ineligible for processing and will not be honored.

In circumstances where payment was remitted through direct bank transfer or wire payment, eligibility for tax recovery shall additionally be governed by the terms and limitations set forth in the relevant provisions addressing bank transfer transactions referenced elsewhere in this policy.

12. Reversals and Payment Disputes

Skimatly acknowledges that customers may occasionally question a charge or seek to contest a transaction. A payment reversal initiated through your bank or card provider is a process in which the financial institution retrieves funds on your behalf. This may occur when a product is not delivered, if an incorrect or duplicate charge is applied, or if a transaction is otherwise inconsistent with your expectations.

If you believe a payment was made in error, we encourage you to contact us first so that we can investigate and resolve the matter promptly.

10.1 Chargebacks

Important: If you dispute a charge with your bank or credit card company (chargeback) instead of contacting us directly:

  • Your Skimatly account will be immediately suspended
  • We may terminate your account permanently
  • You may be required to pay a chargeback processing fee

13. Contract Confirmation

A contract between you and Skimatly is established once your payment is successfully completed and access to the digital service is granted. The purchase flow includes submitting your order details, reviewing the final price and terms, and authorizing the payment. Upon successful completion, you will receive a confirmation email as evidence of the contract and access to the service purchased.

14. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or overrides your statutory consumer rights. If the product is defective, not delivered, or materially different from its description, you may have additional legal rights to request a refund or remedy.
